SubText breaks into the top 25 of open source projects
The Subtext blogging platform has just broken into the top 25 of all projects on SourceForge.net! As of yesterday, Subtext was 24 on the list of most active projects. Take a look at this link to see the current status.
To quote the site, "Project rankings are generated based on the traffic, communication, and development statistics which are collected for each project." There are well over 100,000 projects on SourceForge.Net, so to make it into the top 50, or even the top 100 is a nice accomplishment.
Subtext is a fork of the once very popular .Text blogger. Subtext is headed up by Phil Haack. He and the development team are very active and passionate about this project, and it shows in the results. I really enjoy using Subtext. And, in terms of community support, I have often received help responses on the Subtext Forums faster than is typical of commercial software -- because the guys working on SubText are really into it!
Notice that Subtext is now up to 15th! I also checked and found the exact number of total registered projects:
Registered Projects: 126,558 Registered Users: 1,365,606
Congratulations to the Subtext team!
